Spring 2023
Overview
This assignment challenged us to design an album cover, both back and front. We were required to combine and blend images and textures, incorporate a clipping mask and a custom shape, and use point type and paragraph type. For our type, we had to use text warping and layer styles. Other than that, we had the creative freedom to use whatever other Photoshop skills we had learned to create a unique cover design.
I chose to make my album cover for one of my favorite bass albums, The End of the World by Eptic. His entire branding revolves around this three-eyed, horned monster "overlord" character and I did a lot of editing with this x-ray skull to pay homage to that character. Out of all the projects this term, I put the most time, effort, and number of various skills into this project.

As a fun little note, I also posted this project to Eptic's Facebook group online where he actually responded and told me how much he loved the artwork! While it was not required for the project, I did find some mockup templates online that I used to really bring my album cover designs to life.
